What an epic experience! Let me start by saying how much I appreciate this festival and the thousands of people that danced to the music in our show, really powerful.
The location is mind blowing, it’s even hard to describe. It’s like a Village with lots of space for nature, there’s lots of art work that harmonizes with the nature around, lots of grass and trees everywhere, different stages and areas built amazingly with attention given to detail, all very neat and yet very natural feel.
The people here are so friendly and open, they participate in workshops and they show love and support to the artists and musicians that came to perform.
Apparently, Hungary is very hot this time of year (36C) and everyone is very minimal when it comes to clothing, the fire department of the area is so cooperative and friendly! Every once in a while, they come with their truck, go on the roof and spray lots of water from two big hoses on all the people around. This is made for fighting fire but it can also make thousands of people extremely thankful and super happy to cool down in the heat as they dance to the music!
The Festival is full of surprises and many corners with different vibes. I got to attend an Acro Yoga workshop, a few amazing sets from electronic artists, some amazing live music like a Rajasthani band and a Balkan, and the circus tent which is really great for trying all kinds of different stuff like rope walking and juggling…
I got to meet some musicians I really like and appreciate, the hospitality of the crew was very warm and helpful, and in our show, there was very nice and professional care by the technical crew of the “dragon nest” stage J thanks again guys!
So, to conclude, it was very inspiring to see so many people from around the world creating a very colorful reality for this festival, and I know that many of them create this alternative reality in their daily lives, some work in different festivals and just travel as a way of life and some are artists in different fields. It becomes a real global community when you get to see so many of them in one geographic location and not just online like most of us connect with our global contacts.
So, here is a video to check out a bit of my experience there!
Let me know what you think bellow!
Enjoy.
